About Kindermusik

Kindermusik is a classroom learning experience. We teach children music so they can become better learners. It's not about making little Mozarts. It's about developing skills in the whole child - ages newborn to 7 years - cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and musical. For more than 25 years, we have believed music is the best conductor for learning.

Some folks are eager to get very young children started in private lessons of some sort. Usually they are keen observers of the wonderful musicality young children already display. Kindermusik is not a slower road to musical progress. In fact, it is just the opposite. Complete musical learning is integrated in nature. Movement, pitch, listening, notation and lots of rhythm are experienced together. Kindermusik incorporates all of these to build the strongest aptitude possible in children. After all this foundation is built, a competent and highly motivated musician is set for a lifetime journey of discovery.

The magic of it is that in children, all this development happens while having fun!

Every Kindermusik semester comes with a set of At Home Materials. Each includes a book, CD, age appropriate instrument, and activity book or journal. The classroom learning continues at home when you set aside time each day with your child to read, do unique, creative activities, or listen to music - all using the At Home Materials.
